Hideaway Ukulele Membership is offered in two seasonal sessions each year, allowing members to learn, grow, and build lasting friendships while making music together.
Fall Session: September–December
Spring Session: January–MayMembers register for a full season, creating a consistent musical community where everyone progresses together.
-
Yes! If space is available, you’re welcome to join during the Fall or Spring Session. Membership tuition will be prorated based on the remaining weeks, and I will help you catch up on music, class materials, and the group.
-
Membership is a seasonal commitment. Because class sizes are intentionally limited and your place is reserved for the entire session, registrations are non-refundable once a season begins.
If unexpected life circumstances arise, please reach out to Denise. I understand that life happens, and I will always do my best to work with you whenever possible.
-
No worries! Members continue to have access to music, handouts, and practice materials throughout the season, making it easy to stay connected and continue learning.
-
Hideaway Ukulele Membership is designed for adults who already know a few basic chords and can comfortably change between them.
If you’re brand new to the ukulele, don’t let that stop you! I’d love to help you get started. Contact me to discuss the best path into membership and your musical journey.
-
Private instruction is one of the benefits available to Hideaway Members. Rather than offering stand-alone lessons, I focus on a balanced learning experience that combines group classes, workshops, community music-making, and individualized guidance when it’s most helpful.
-
Members can schedule private lessons throughout the season as part of their membership experience. Whether you want help with a challenging song, technique, or a personal musical goal, one-on-one instruction is available when you need it and as scheduling allows.
Many members enjoy the group experience and schedule private lessons only occasionally, while others take advantage of more individualized coaching.
-
Learning something new is one of the best investments you can make in yourself.
If you’d like to learn more, contact Denise to discuss your musical goals or arrange to visit a class or community jam. I would love to introduce you to the Hideaway community and help you decide if membership is right for you.
-
Absolutely! Many of our members are experienced players looking for new challenges, fresh repertoire, ensemble opportunities, or simply a welcoming community to make music with.
Hideaway Membership is about continuing your musical journey—wherever you are on the path.
-
You’re in good company! Many members join because they want the confidence to play with others.
Hideaway is a supportive, encouraging environment where everyone is learning together. There is no pressure to perform—just an invitation to enjoy making music, build confidence, and have fun.
-
Not at all. Performance opportunities are always optional. Some members enjoy performing with the Thoughtful Ukulele Orchestra or at community events, while others simply enjoy playing for themselves, family, and friends.
-
Most Hideaway workshops and member activities are included with your membership. Occasionally, special guest instructors, retreats, or unique events may have a separate registration fee.
-
Hideaway Ukulele Studio is more than a place to take lessons.
It’s a place to learn, a place to play, and a place to belong.
Our goal is to help you build confidence, discover the joy of making music with others, and become part of a welcoming community where friendships grow right alongside musical skills.
Whether you’re playing your first song or your hundredth, you’ll always have a place here.
